Pigeon Forge: Beer, Wine, Mini Golf & Comfort Food

A packed Smokies weekend mixed local tastings, creative mini golf, familiar restaurants, cupcakes, and one especially memorable wing sauce.

Trip at a glance

  • Date: May 2018
  • Destination: Pigeon Forge
  • Highlights: Smoky Mountain Brewery, local tastings, Crave mini golf, and Blue Moose

Flights, pizza, and wings

Smoky Mountain Brewery combined beer flights with pizza and breaded sweet-and-spicy wings. Growlers, bottles, and even mini-kegs made it easy to bring a favorite home. The Casual Pint added a broad selection in a coffee-shop-like setting.

A tasting trail and mini golf

We visited local wineries and stopped at the Apple Barn while collecting stamps on the area's wine trail. Crave's themed mini golf was fun, although the price felt high for the length of the experience.

Reliable Pigeon Forge food

Blue Moose had become a regular stop, and its grilled-cheese-and-burger stack fit the trip's comfort-food theme. Gigi's Cupcakes closed the weekend on a sweet note.

Final thoughts

This was a short but full Pigeon Forge visit. Grouping tastings by location and pairing them with one attraction kept the weekend manageable.

Plan your own trip

Pigeon Forge Tastings & Attractions Guide

A compact weekend feels fuller when tastings are grouped geographically and balanced with one attraction and one reliable meal.

01

Start with the right base

Choose lodging by the activities you will actually visit, not only by the lowest nightly rate. Check parking, drive times, cancellation terms, and seasonal demand.

02

Weekend plan

Before you go

Check current tasting policies; designate a driver; reserve mini golf or dining at busy times; use the trolley or walkable clusters where practical.

Keep it balanced

Choose one priority experience, one flexible stop, and enough unscheduled time for meals, weather changes, and discoveries along the way.

03

Use our trip as a starting point

Best fit

This trip suits travelers who enjoy mixing a headline experience with local food and a few spontaneous stops instead of following a rigid schedule.
