A Pigeon Forge Food Trip: Gaucho Urbano & Rolled Ice Cream
A short Pigeon Forge outing centered on tableside Brazilian steakhouse service and a colorful rolled-ice-cream dessert.

Trip at a glance
- Date: February 2019
- Main meal: Gaucho Urbano Brazilian Steakhouse
- Dessert: Curl de la Crème rolled ice cream
A meal built around tasting
At Gaucho Urbano, servers brought cuts of meat directly to the table. The restaurant offered a market-table option and different levels of the full tableside experience. We chose the larger selection, which was worth it for the chance to compare more meats, and I paired it with my first Brazilian beer.
Rolled ice cream for dessert
At Curl de la Crème, the dessert became part of the entertainment. Fruity Pebbles were mixed into the ice cream, then strawberries, marshmallow cream, and a waffle taco turned it into a bright, over-the-top finish.
Final thoughts
Not every trip needs a long attraction list. This one worked as a focused food outing: come hungry, pace the steakhouse meal, and leave room for a dessert you can watch being made.
Plan your own trip
Pigeon Forge Food-Trip Guide
A focused food trip works best with one destination meal, one lighter activity, and enough time to enjoy dessert without rushing.
01
Start with the right base
Choose lodging by the activities you will actually visit, not only by the lowest nightly rate. Check parking, drive times, cancellation terms, and seasonal demand.
02
Food plan
Before you go
Reserve the steakhouse; compare the current service options; eat lightly beforehand; add rolled ice cream, The Island, mini golf, or a short scenic stop.
Keep it balanced
Choose one priority experience, one flexible stop, and enough unscheduled time for meals, weather changes, and discoveries along the way.
03
Use our trip as a starting point
The original story shows what worked for us and what we would change. Prices, hours, menus, ships, excursion operators, and attraction features may be different now, so verify the details that matter to your group.
Best fit
This trip suits travelers who enjoy mixing a headline experience with local food and a few spontaneous stops instead of following a rigid schedule.
